Vacancies
The Dominican Sisters in Honiara require assistance with English Language training for five sisters who have completed only Grade 6 schooling. The goal is to have them complete Secondary qualifications for entry to Tertiary. Term: 10 months Feb-Nov 2012.    

Vacancies
The community of Tawaro in Small Malaita, Solomon islands require a builder to assist with renovations to their health clinic and building two new staff houses, beginning April 2011. They also require assistance with medical supplies and basic equipment, including a delivery bed. Donations are welcome.

SCENZA (Supercritical Extraction New Zealand and Australia PTY LTD) is working with the Provincial Health Authorities in East New Britain and New Ireland to trial a new herbal treatment for malaria. Mahitahi is seeking to recruit a Medical Laboratory Technician to work with a volunteer nurse to conduct trials required by the PNG Pharmaceutical Board to authorise distribution of the product.
Term: 1-2 months
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications and experience in medical laboratory work. Experience in a Third World country an advantage.
  

Vacancies
The Archdiocese of Honiara requires a builder to coordinate a community project to build a house and then eventually a new church at Mokaruka, on the Weather Coast of Guadalcanal. Access by boat and on foot. Experience in building in a developing country and working cross culturally is essential.
