Kees Meinderts of Morrinsville, a water engineer, assisted communities in the Shortland Islands, and at Aruligo with building a demonstration rope pump for drawing water in villages in rural areas. This model may now be replicated throughout the Solomon Islands.

Marie Monk of Tauranga and Joan McKerrow of Timaru assisted with management of a community based clinic in Nukuálofa, Tonga, while the current Manager was on leave for further training and renewal in Sydney. The position was for September to mid December 2010.

Trevor Wall, a builder from Ashburton, and Anthony Munn, plumber from Whitianga, assisted the St Therese's Kindergarten Community with building a new Kindergarten for their 60+ children. The project was carried out in January 2011, with the support of a Mission team of volunteers recruited by Hamilton Catholic Youth.

Margaret Parker of Tauranga assisted St Therese's School (a Francophone Catholic primary school) staff in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL). She conducted workshops and training for staff (approx 22), to improve their basic competency in English and improve their teaching of English to primary school aged children. The assignment took place during August and September 2010. Margaret was accompanied by her husband Terry.

 Simon Allison, of Wellington, assisted St Anne's RTC in the Shortland Is, Western Province with completion of their ablution facilities for their new dormitory. He departed April 2010 for a one month assignment. He also assisted in training staff in the use of the laptop and preparation of financial reports.
